Reflexology, is a gentle, non-invasive, complementary therapy, based upon the principle that the entire body is represented by reflex or acupressure points within the hands and feet. Applying gentle pressure to these points is thought to stimulate the corresponding part of the body to respond within its own natural energy pathways. Reflexology can be a deeply relaxing experience which encourages the body to restore natural balance and promote physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.

Our Reflexologist, Gill France says, 'Having studied Clinical Reflexology and Relaxation techniques at the Christie Hospital in Manchester I can offer a combined treatment that is individualised to suit a client's needs. Reflexology is very effective in relieving anxiety, tension, stress and sleep disorders and also helps support people living with acute and chronic conditions.'

'Adapted Reflextherapy combines a reflexology approach which is recognised by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and has helped support clients living with acute or chronic back pain. Reflexology can be adapted for people living with cancer and used safely alongside conventional medicine. I have also trained in London with Seren Natural Fertility on the Reproflexology Care Programme which helps support clients with fertility issues. If you would like any further information whether Reflexology would be suitable for you please do not hesitate to contact me.'

Other Therapies offered are Reiki, and Hopi Ear Candles.

Reiki can be translated to mean universal life force or universal guided energy. It is a natural, safe therapy which positively boosts well-being and complements other medical or therapeutic treatments. Benefits may include deep relaxation and the promotion of a calm peaceful sense of well-being.

Hopi Ear Candling has many positive benefits and can help with excessive ear wax or irritation and help soothe the head and the ears. It is a calming relaxing treatment, traced back to the Hopi Indians from North and South America. Treatment includes a facial massage to enhance sinus drainage and Hopi candles are gently placed into the auditory canal, lit and held steadily in the upright position. Afterwards you should feel very relaxed and calmer with your head and ears feeling much clearer.
