Clinical Pilates is a form of therapeutic exercise used by physiotherapists to assist in the rehabilitation and prevention of
muscloskeletal injury. Initially, a major focus is placed on developing 'core stability' muscles such as the deep abdominals and
pelvic floor muscles. This is accompanied by an emphasis on postural education and facilitating optimal biomechanics.
Clinical Pilates is for: . Anyone wanting to take long term care of their spine. . Anyone recovering from injury . Anyone who requires sports specific conditioning including matwork for Golf. We Offer: Physiotherapist led individual 1:1 sessions or classes to suit all levels of abilities. Pilates is all about giving the body the attention it needs whilst concentrating on a calm, controlled state. 1:1 Sessions This involves private, 1:1 Clinical Pilates sessions with the physiotherapist, who will introduce you to your specific program. At least 4 sessions will be required to ensure that the correct input is provided for effective learning and safe home practise to ensure progression. Courses: Beginners . Introduction to Clinical Pilates focusing on form. . Improves flexibility, posture, body alignment and balance . Injury Prevention, strengthens deep stabilising muscles around the spine . Building strong, lean muscles, fantastic posture, firm stomach and relaxation of the mind . Maximum number of clients - 8 Intermediate . Continues to build on achievements of Beginners course . Incorporates upper and lower body exercises . Faster paced routine challenging coordination and form . Improved Flexibility, agility, strength, stamina and performance . Maximum number of clients - 10 All individual sessions and classes are with a Chartered Physiotherapist qualified in Clinical Pilates. Each Course Includes: 1 x 30min assessment by a Chartered Physiotherapist then 6 x Weekly classes of 1 hour. You do not need to be a member of the Tytherington Club or ClubAZ to use any of the services of Club Physiotherapy Ltd. |
